Man High on Pot Arrested After Driving More Than 90 MPH With Child in Car

Police say a Minnesota man high on marijuana was arrested in Dunn County for driving more than 90 miles per hour with a child in the car.

DUNN COUNTY, WI -- Authorities arrested a 31-year-old Minnesota man in Dunn County on Saturday morning after officers caught him speeding, only to learn he was under the influence of marijuana.

According to authorities, McChristian Malguster, 31 years of age, from St. Paul, Minnesota has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

Authorities say that on April 8, at about 7:36 a.m., a Wisconsin State Trooper conducted a traffic stop on I-94 east bound at MM 58 on a vehicle traveling 93 miles per hour.

Upon approach the Trooper detected the odor or marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The driver, McChristian Malguster of St. Paul, MN, was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana.

McChristian was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie for a blood draw and then to the Dunn Co. Jail.

A minor passenger, age 16, was also in the vehicle. The passenger was turned over to Dunn Co. Social Services.
