Minnesota Man Arrested for Smoking Pot, Then Speeding on I-94 With 2 Kids in Car

A 30-year-old Minnesota man was arrested in Wisconsin after police say he smoked pot, and then drove on I-94 with two children in the car.

DUNN COUNTY, WI — A 30-year-old Minnesota man has been arrested in Wisconsin after police say he smoked pot, and then drove on I-94 with two children in the car.

Authorities say that Cornelius Anthony Terrell, 30, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

According to authorities, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle driven by Terrell for a speed violation on Monday just before 4 p.m. During the contact the trooper smelled marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to smoking marijuana about three hours prior to the stop. The traffic stop was conducted by law enforcement on I-94 in Dunn County, Wisconsin.

Authorities are also reporting that the trooper also noticed there were two minor children inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested for OWI and transported to the Dunn County jail. The children left in the custody of an adult female passenger.
