Patch Picks: Five Great Pizza Places in Hudson
Hungry for some pizza pie but not sure who to call? Check out any of these.

With the new location up and running, the menu at Dough Boys is the same great menu it’s been for years. Specialty pizzas include Chowabunga with meat galore; the Big Daddy sporting one of the state’s most famous exports - cheese; and a Greek pizza with black olives, sliced tomatoes and crumbled feta cheese. For computer whizzes, or those averse to the telephone, online ordering is now possible.
Ciao bella! Forget Hudson, customers have to check their wallets to make sure they’re still tendering dollars and not euros in Naples when at Bricks downtown. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are cooked in a volcanic rock oven. On the menu are over 30 different pizzas, like the Pollo with roasted chicken, peppers and onions; Luna complete with artichoke hearts, onions, bacon, tomatoes and goat cheese; and Moda–a white pizza with Italian sausage, red peppers, mushrooms, ricotta and basil.
The St. Paul native restaurant is open for lunch with a buffet full of salad, pizza and pizza fries. Some of the menu highlights include a House Deluxe with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers and olives; Totally Veggie topped with mushrooms, black olives, green olives, onions and green peppers; and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbeque is featured on the BBQ Chicken pizza along with bacon, banana peppers, pineapple and onions.

Need some hearty, greasy pizza – Kozy Korner is calling. Plan to wait about 40 minutes when you pile four toppings of your choice along with Mozzarella when ordering the Mega Style off the menu – the toppings keep coming. Other choices at the North Hudson bar include the prehistoric Tyrannosaurus Rex finished with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, ground beef, Italian sausage and bacon; or celebrate two of Italy’s creations with a dago pizza – onions, jalapeños, lots of mozzarella and dago meat.
Want the delightful smell of a pizza baking in the oven at home but not interested in a frozen pie? Papa Murphy’s is the right combo. Go to the store, order what you want with fresh ingredients and bring it home to pop in the cooker. Create a custom pizza or order a menu specialty one – like a Chicago Style Stuffed: red sauce, salami, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onions and tomatoes; or a Herb Chicken Mediterranean Thin Crust deLITE made with olive oil, garlic, spinach, herb chicken, tomatoes, feta and herbs. A dessert pizza (either apple, cherry or s’more) is a crowd pleaser, for sure.
