Celebrate Mexican heritage in Hudson this Cinco de Mayo with our Patch Picks.

Cinco de Mayo, or "the fifth of May" for our non-Spanish speaking readers, is a day to commemorate the victory of the Mexican Army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Even if you can't trace your roots to Mexico, celebrate cultura mexicana at these places around Hudson:

Agave Kitchen

It's no surprise that , named after a plant native to Mexico, is holding its own fiesta. The restaurant is offering tacos for $1 all day and night—as well as $2 Dos Equis and Pacifico beers.

Green Mill

is marking Cinco de Mayo with lots of cerveza—it is throwing a free beer tasting party. Set for 6:30-8:30 p.m., five different beers will be available for customers to sample and the restaurant also will give away prizes throughout the event.
