PHOTOS: Local Activists Make Final Get-Out-The-Vote Push
Whether it was making phone calls, driving voters to the polls or even just waving signs along the freeway, local Republicans and Democrats spread their get-out-the-vote message throughout Election Day on Tuesday.
Volunteers at the Hudson offices of both the St. Croix County Democratic Party and the St. Croix County Republican Party were busy making last-minute phone calls Tuesday to remind their voters to get to the polls for the gubernatorial recall election.
In addition, people from both sides took to the streets to wave signs along Hudson city streets and on Interstate-94 overpasses to remind commuters returning home from work that today is Recall Election Day in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is facing Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) and (I) in the recall election. Also, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch (R) is facing (D).
