Update: Power Restored for Hundreds of Xcel Customers in North Hudson, Houlton

All customers affected by the outage in St. Croix County have been restored to service, according to a spokesperson for Xcel Energy.

The cause of the outage was a tree limb on a power line between North Hudson and Houlton, Brian Elwood said.

Nearly half of the customers affected by tonight's outage in St. Croix County have been restored to service, according to a spokesperson for Xcel Energy.

Crews are continuing to work to restore service to the remaining customers, Brian Elwood said. To report an outage, call 1-800-895-1999.

According to Xcel Energy's Outage Map, more than 900 Xcel Energy customers in North Hudson are without power.

According to the information provided by Xcel, the power went out at 7:32 p.m. and is in the process of being restored. The company expects to have the power back on by 11:42 p.m.

The outage also has affected more than 50 customers in Houlton, according to the map.
