Raiders Lacrosse Shuts Out Stillwater 2 in Snow and Rain

The Raiders were fired up for the April 16th game at Houlton despite the rain, snow and cold.  The near whiteout conditions made the white ball difficult to see, and Hudson chose to use an orange ball even though that meant they received a penalty and gave the ball to Stillwater 2 to start the game instead of a face-off.

Despite this disadvantage, Hudson scored 3 goals almost immediately at the beginning of the game, 2 by Senior McKay Potter and 1 by Junior Adam Lipps.  At halftime, Hudson was leading 16-0.

At times the players seemed to be skating instead of running on the slippery field.  Hudson’s offense had the ball in the Stillwater 2 end of the field nearly the entire game, often giving Hudson’s defense little to do but try to stay warm.  The chilled defensive squad still managed to achieve a shutout with Hudson’s offense racking up a final score of 25-0.
