Rep. Knudson's Car Vandalized While Campaigning in North Hudson

A rear window in the State Assemblyman's campaign vehicle was smashed even though the doors were unlocked. Knudson took the opportunity to re-state his campaign messages in an emailed statement.

While Rep. Dean Knudson (R-District 30) was out knocking on doors and talking with constituents in a North Hudson neighborhood on Saturday, he returned to his car, clearly marked with campaign signs, to find that one of the windows broken.

The car was unlocked at the time and nothing was stolen, which indicates the act may have been politically motivated, and not an attempted theft.

The damaged window was quickly patched up with one of Knudson's campaign signs.

"I want to thank the neighbors and the deputy sheriff who helped clean up," Knudson said in a statement emailed to Patch on Monday morning.

"My focus during this election is on the future, on improving Wisconsin's economy and growing jobs in our state," Knudson's statement continued. "I ran for state representative to stand up for the taxpayer and be a strong voice for western Wisconsin. We have had many distractions in Wisconsin in recent years, but we must continue to be focused on creating a better future for Wisconsin."
