Robin Manufacturing Closes Hudson Facility, Eliminates About 30 Workers
About 30 Hudson workers have lost their jobs as Subaru has decided to move its V-Twin engine production line to its Tokyo facility.

About 30 workers are out of a job as Robin Manufacturing has ceased production of Subaru V-Twin engines and is closing its facility at 1201 Industrial Street, according to Tom Cincotta, Robin's vice president of finance.
Cincotta said workers were informed in mid-2010 that the factory would be closing and that their jobs would be eliminated. Nearly all of the employees have already been let go with just a few on hand to clean out the leased facility.
Brad Murphy, Subaru's vice president of sales and marketing, issued the following statements in a company press release:

"The decision to increase production capacity in Japan signifies a step forward for the V-Twin line, as we’re expanding production and increasing our inventory here in North America. This will improve the efficiency of production, and allows for enhanced service and value to our North American OEMs."
