State Police Arrest Drunk Driver With 15-Month-Old Child in Car

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, WI — State police arrested a Chippewa Falls man after he reportedly drove drunk with his 15-month old child in the car.

Authorities are reporting that Duwayne Koch, 29 years of age, from Chippewa Falls has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.

According to law enforcement, just before noon on Feb. 11, the Wisconsin State Patrol Dispatch center in Eau Claire received a call regarding a driving complaint of a vehicle northbound on Hwy 53 from Foster. A Trooper intercepted this vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Police say the driver, Duwayne Koch of Chippewa Falls, was field tested and subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Passengers in the vehicle included an adult female and 15 month old child.

Koch was transported to the Eau Claire County Jail, where he awaits multiple charges.
