VIDEO & PHOTOS: Dozens March for Women's Rights in Hudson

Temperatures below 40 degrees and rain on Saturday morning couldn't keep more than 100 people from marching for women's rights, women's health, education and Wisconsin families.

Despite cold and rain, more than 100 people gathered Saturday morning at the park-and-ride lot at Carmichael Road and Coulee Road to march for women's rights. The crowd huddled together under a tent in a grassy area of the lot before marching with signs in hand to a spot on the Carmichael overpass at I-94. 

"This is to raise awareness of issues related to women's rights, women's health, education and families in Wisconsin," said event organizer Julie Draves of River Falls.

Three speakers were scheduled to address the crowd after the march returned to the tent in the parking lot:

  • Tawni Kind, wife of
  • Todd Coleman, former River Falls City Council candidate
  • Kim Wojcik, executive director of Turning Point

Three anti-abortion demonstrators also attended the event in opposition of the larger crowd.
