
Teach them to Fish! The first ever Willow River State Park Ice Fishing Contest and learning day on January 18, 2014. The event goes from 2-4 p.m. with registration starting at 1:30 p.m. This event is hosted by the Willow River Organization for Wildlife Learning, the St. Croix County Sportsman Alliance, and volunteers. Come for the prizes and stay for the warm drinks.
This contest is for children ages 0-12 years of age and a complimentary goodie bag will be given to all contestants as well as prizes awarded for the biggest fish, smallest fish, and most fish. More importantly this is an opportunity to learn about ice fishing for those who have never tried and to hone skills for those who have.
We will have holes predrilled, we will provide the bait and equipment for those who need it, bathroom is available, and complimentary hot drinks will be served.

This event is FREE to attend and vehicle admission into the park is required.
