Woman Caught Smoking Pot While Driving on I-94 with 3 and 10-Year-Old Children Inside

Authorities have arrested a woman on I-94 in Dunn County after police caught her smoking pot with her 3 and 10-year-old children in the car.

DUNN COUNTY, WI — Authorities have arrested a woman on I-94 after police caught her smoking marijuana with her 3 and 10-year-old children in the car.

Charmica D Banks, 30, from Gary, Indiana has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

Just before 3 a.m. on March 2, Charmica D. Banks was stopped on I-94 while travelling eastbound in Dunn County for unsafe lane deviation by a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the Trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. There were two minor children present in the vehicle, ages 3 and 10, and another adult.

The operator, Banks, admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the traffic stop. Banks failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence 1st offense with minor children present, and possession of marijuana.
