Kenosha Flood Volunteers Help Woman After Basement Floods (kenosha.com) β After heavy rain flooded a Kenosha woman's finished basement, volunteers from the Kenosha Disaster Response Team stepped in to haul out damaged belongings, rip up soaked carpet, and help her recover. The homeowner, who lives with her son with a disability, says she couldn't have managed the cleanup alone and credits the volunteers' quick response with easing an overwhelming situation.

2. Mahone Foundation Gets $15,000 From Kenosha Firefighters (kenosha.com) β Kenosha Firefighters C.A.R.E. has donated $15,000 to the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Foundation to support college and career mentoring and workforce development for local high school students. The long-running partnership focuses on preparing Kenosha youth, especially first-generation and lower-income students, for college and careers, including paths into firefighting and EMS. Residents can also donate directly to the foundation in Kenosha.

3. Milwaukee man charged in Kenosha bar killing, shooting at police (jsonline.com) β A Milwaukee man has been charged in the fatal shooting of a Kenosha resident inside Shenanigans bar on 52nd Street, followed by an armed confrontation with Kenosha police. Prosecutors say surveillance and squad video show the suspect shooting the victim at close range, then exchanging gunfire with officers before being wounded and arrested, leaving him facing homicide and multiple attempted homicide counts.

4. No Criminality Suspected In Death At Kenosha Gas Station (kenoshacountyeye.com) β Kenosha police say no criminal activity is suspected after a 62-year-old man was found unresponsive and later declared dead in a van at the Citgo station on 60th Street earlier this month. Officers and paramedics briefly taped off the parking lot while investigating, but later determined the man, who appeared to be homeless and had health issues, likely suffered a medical emergency.
