1. Pet of the Week: Pearl at WHS Kenosha Campus (kenosha.com) — If you're looking to adopt locally, Pearl is a 2-year-old dog waiting at the Wisconsin Humane Society's Kenosha Campus on 60th Avenue. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and part of the Benchwarmer Tryouts foster-to-adopt program, where approved families can take her home for up to a week before deciding on adoption.
2. Kenosha Business to Business Expo: Nov. 12, 2026 (kenosha.com) — Kenosha businesses and professionals can connect at the free Business to Business Expo on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, at Parkway Chateau on 75th Street. Attendees get complimentary lunch while meeting local vendors, and businesses can still reserve booth space through the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce, with discounts available for past exhibitors.
3. Federal trucking crackdown reaches Wisconsin as English-language rules tighten (wilatinonews.com) — A federal trucking crackdown has removed CDL Pro School in Kenosha from the national training registry, meaning its courses no longer count toward required entry-level commercial driver training. Local residents seeking a new or upgraded CDL must now find other approved providers, even as Wisconsin's language-testing rules and federal English requirements create added hurdles for many would-be truckers.
4. Judge Barks But Doesn't Bite: Woman Convicted Of Killing Husband's Dog Gets Fine, No Jail Or Probation (kenoshacountyeye.com) — A Kenosha County judge fined a Pleasant Prairie woman $5,000 but imposed no jail or probation after she admitted having her then-husband's dog euthanized without his permission. The case, which involved Pleasant Prairie police, Kenosha County prosecutors, and a local veterinary clinic, has drawn local attention because of the judge's sharp criticism, the woman's prior domestic-related arrest, and her work with children in Kenosha.
5. Democrats eye Wisconsin district held by Republicans for more than 30 years (spectrumnews1.com) — Kenosha voters are part of a closely watched congressional race in Wisconsin's 1st District, which Democrats hope to flip after more than 30 years of Republican control. With GOP Rep. Bryan Steil facing Democrat Mitchell Berman, analysts say the contest could signal how Donald Trump's popularity is affecting down-ballot races, even as Steil holds a major fundraising advantage.
