• WPS Foundation awards $75,000 to improve public safety through Rewarding Responders Grant (wisconsinpublicservice.com) — Lac du Flambeau Fire and Ambulance is receiving new firefighter breathing apparatus tanks thanks to a Rewarding Responders Grant from the WPS Foundation. The $75,000 program is funding lifesaving equipment and training for multiple police, fire, and EMS agencies across north-central Wisconsin, including nearby departments in Minocqua, Crandon, Crescent, Nokomis, Three Lakes, and Tomahawk.
