'Best Punt I've Ever Seen': Wisconsin's 70-Yard Bomb At Lambeau Has Fans Buzzing

A perfectly placed punt at Green Bay's NFL stadium is going viral, even as the Badgers fell to a top-five opponent.

GREEN BAY, WI — A punt by Wisconsin junior Sean West is being called one of the best in college football history after the ball traveled about 70 yards and rolled out of bounds at Notre Dame's 1-yard line during Sunday night's game at Lambeau Field.

Watch the punt here.

West, a Mequon native and Homestead High School product, dropped the second-quarter kick perfectly out of the end zone, avoiding a touchback and pinning the Fighting Irish deep in their own territory.

Notre Dame went three-and-out on the ensuing possession, handing the ball back to Wisconsin, which capitalized two plays later on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Colton Joseph to Malachi Coleman that tied the game at 10.

The punt, and West's golf-swing celebration afterward, quickly spread across social media and sports sites nationwide.

It marked one of the highlights for Wisconsin in a game that ultimately went the fourth-ranked Fighting Irish's way, as Notre Dame pulled away in the second half for a 41-13 win.

The contest was the first college football game played at Lambeau Field since 2016, when Wisconsin upset fifth-ranked LSU there.
