Here are the top 3 stories today in Madison:
- Madison police are searching for a man who allegedly grabbed another man during an argument at a bowling alley on Monday. Police said the incident happened at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes just after midnight. The suspect left the bowling alley after the incident and later called the bar while officers were on the scene but refused to share his location. Officers are looking to arrest the suspect for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
- The Madison Metropolitan School District is offering free meals for all students until Jan. 6. The meals are being made available in response to the district's decision to move to virtual learning. All students can pick up a meal box, which holds enough food for five breakfasts and five lunches, between Monday and Friday of this week. (97 Seven Country WGLR)
- The man who was selected to be Madison's first independent police monitor has decided not to take the job. Byron Bishop confirmed Monday that he has withdrawn from consideration to lead the new office, which is intended to act as a check on the city's police department. Bishop said his choice not to pursue the post was a "family decision." (Madison.com)
