Madison Children's Museum

Enjoy free concerts at MCM the first Friday in July, August and September, featuring an eclectic mix of Madison bands. Adults get to dance and chat, kids climb and play, and caregivers enjoy low-stress social time in an outdoor space like no other!
Live from the Wonderground admission is free!&nbsp;You may choose to provide a donation at the door, but no entry fee is required. Proceeds benefit the work of Madison Children’s Museum and allow us to bring accessible programming to our community. All tickets are at the door, no advance registration. Please enter at the Wonderground gate on E. Dayton Street, by the Log Cabin.
Tonight features a double dose of local street band sounds. We open with&nbsp;Black Star Drum Line, a program that gives children ages 9-18 in the Madison community an opportunity for creative expression through the Percussive Arts, followed by the honktastic brass-forward sounds of&nbsp;Forward! Marching Band. A tasty selection of local food, plus beverages of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic persuasion available for purchase in the Wonderground.

Come to a stand-up comedy show made for exhausted grown-ups—where your baby is not only allowed, but basically the guest of honor.
The BYOB Comedy Hour is coming to the Madison Children’s Museum on September 5, featuring a lineup of comedians who are all either parents themselves or people who work with children (teachers, librarians, childcare pros…the folks who know the chaos firsthand).
BYOB = Bring Your Own Baby (boobs, bottles, and buggies welcome—yes, we have stroller parking).
Laugh at real adult jokes instead of silently screaming into a burp cloth. Bring the baby—they don’t understand the dirty jokes anyway.
With your headliner for the evening:
Chastity Washington is a comedian with more than 25 years of experience, bringing her dynamic humor to colleges and clubs nationwide. An NBC Diversity finalist and HBO Comedy Wings winner, she has appeared on BET, the Just for Laughs Festival, and Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Fest. She is a regular at the Laugh Factory and Comedians You Should Know, headlines Zanies Chicago, and has opened for Tommy Davidson, David Mann, Charlie Berens, and Roy Wood Jr.

It’s time to celebrate all things German at Working Draft’s annual Oktoberfest!
During the weekend of September 11th through 13th, we’ll be celebrating the only way Working Draft knows how to do: with tons of great beer, food, music, dancing, and fun!
Here’s a taster of what you can expect at our Oktoberfest Weekend:

-- 16 German-style WDBC beers on tap, including Stackenblochen Oktoberfest Lager and HellerFest Festbier Lager (releases at noon on Friday)
<h3>Food</h3>
-- Friday - Sausage platters including Bavarian Sausage Haus sausages and German Potato Salad and Sauerkraut from Stalzy’s Deli -- Saturday - Treberwurst platters from Third Lake Sausage w/ sides from Stalzy’s Deli -- Sunday - Pork shoulder braised with Stackenblochen and sides, all from Stalzy’s Deli -- All weekend - Potato Pancakes from Stalzy’s Deli&nbsp;and&nbsp;Big, soft pretzels from Batch Bakehouse

Join us on Saturday, September 12, at 10:00 AM for a special visit from Country View Vet Clinic.Meet real veterinarians as they demonstrate a typical animal exam, using X-rays, and explain how they keep our furry friends healthy and happy.
Kids will receive a free stuffed animal to "adopt," examine, and take home. &nbsp;Plus they will make their own stethoscope.
