  1. The Madison Common Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to ban declawing cats within the city. The ordinance, introduced in September, drew support from a number of groups, including the Madison Cat Project and the Humane Society of the United States. (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
  2. The Madison-area unemployment rate is continuing to improve, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data. The Dane County unemployment rate was 1.8 percent in October, down from 2 percent in September. That reflected some improvement from October 2020, when the unemployment rate stood at 3.5 percent.
