Here are the top three stories today in Madison:
- Lakecia Mondy, 35, has been charged with a felony for allegedly making threats that resulted in a Madison Middle School lockdown last month. Mondy has also been banned from the Sherman Middle School. According to authorities, threats were made to Principal Alex Thompson over the phone in response to the bullying of her sixth-grade daughter. (Madison.com)
- Officials with Public Health Madison & Dane County have announced that they will be scaling back COVID-19 report updates to twice a month. The department previously provided updates once a week during its data snapshots. Infection rates in the county have risen over the last two weeks but hospitalization reports remain stable. - Dane County announced it will extend its "Farm To Foodbank" program throughout the end of this year. The extension comes with a $2.75 million price tag through the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. The program is meant to provide basic food security to those struggling with food insecurity in the Dane County area. (Press Release Desk)
