All burn permits are being suspended for the following reasons:

  1. To comply with Wisconsin’s “Safer At Home” order;
  2. To remain in consistent with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' suspension of burn permits;
  3. To keep our firefighters safe.

Prescribed burning can generate fire department responses to investigate reports of smoke and/or fire. This suspension of burn permits will keep emergency responders available to manage COVID-19 preparations and other emergency calls while reducing non-essential public exposure.
