  1. A meteor was spotted in the sky over Madison early Thursday morning. Witnesses say they saw a "sudden brightness" around 6:48 a.m. Video from the rooftop of UW-Madison's Space Science and Engineering Center and Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences department confirms that it was in fact a meteor.   2. The Madison Police Department is investigating an armed carjacking along the 1700 block of Thierer Road. Officers say a woman was entering her car at a sandwich shop around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday when someone stole her car at gunpoint. There are no reports of injuries. (WMTV - NBC15)
  3. A teen-run retail spot will open this weekend at the Culture Collectives, located at 444 State Street. Teen Store Managers will be selling their imPACTful Creations kits, designed for children ages 8-14, which contain tools they need to create and launch their own business for social good.
