Here are the top stories today in Madison:

  1. State Senate Republicans are launching an investigation into a recent nonpartisan review of Wisconsin's 2020 election. On Friday, the Legislative Audit Bureau released a report of the election to the Wisconsin Elections Commission making administrative suggests and finding that there was no sizable attempt at voter fraud. Now, Senate GOP leaders are going to evaluate WEC with these recommendations now published. (The Cap Times)
  2. The Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy, about 13,000 evacuees, have not had access to dental care. This comes after reports made a few months ago that refugees were not receiving enough food or proper clothing. (Wisconsin State Journal)
  3. An American Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Dane County Regional Airport. Travelers recount seeing and smelling smoke that looked like it was coming from below the plane and then safely landing in Madison. (Channel3000)
