  1. Madison Memorial High School was placed on a secure hold Tuesday after two separate calls indicated threats to the school. The incidents Tuesday came only a day after students at the school were evacuated for more than two hours on Monday due to a bomb threat. Madison Metropolitan School District spokesperson Tim LeMonds says both Memorial High School and Jefferson Middle School will have increased police presence today as officers continue to investigate the origin of the threats.   2. The Madison Police and Fire Commission is asking for the public's input in selecting its new Fire Chief. The final four candidates for Fire Chief are Scott Bavery, Tracy Burrus, Chris Carbon, and Theodore Higgins. The commission has scheduled a public forum to solicit feedback on Mar. 14 at 5:30 p.m. and will announce their final decision on Mar. 18. (97 Seven Country WGLR)
  3. Girl Scouts across the Madison area will begin selling cookies this Saturday, Mar. 5. Local troops have already begun getting cases of cookies ready at the newly completed Girl Scout Learning Center, which is located on the city's North Side. Cookie fanatics will be able to score their favorite treats, including the brand new Adventurefuls cookies, until Sunday, Apr. 10. (WMTV – NBC15)
