  1. Up North Boutique, a shop in Madison, is showing its appreciation for health care workers by handing out free holiday wreaths. started to give out locally-sourced, handmade wreaths to health care workers Tuesday. The shop opened in the middle of the pandemic. Co-owner Nicole Howarth explained that they wanted to do something special for health care workers who have welcomed them and protected them amid the pandemic. (WMTV - NBC15)
  2. A lamp recycling company has been ordered to pay $90,000 in penalties for allegedly violating the state's hazardous waste laws. According to Attorney General Josh Kaul's office, the company, Recycling Compliance Specialists, which operated as Midwest Lamp Recycling, conducted lamp crushing operations at a facility in Dane County.   3. On Tuesday, Wisconsin lawmakers approved 2% pay raises for all state employees except the Milwaukee County district attorney. The bipartisan Joint Committee of Employment Relations voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve the pay plan. But whoever is the Milwaukee County district attorney after the 2024 election will not get the pay raise that all other district attorneys will receive. (WMTV - NBC15)
