🌱 Peace Walk This Saturday + Multiple Vehicle Crash On E. Washington

Here are the top three stories today in Madison:

  1. Madison is holding a Peace Walk for Ukraine and the World beginning at Tenney Park tomorrow (Apr. 9). The walk will begin at 11 a.m. at Lake Mendota near Tenney Locks. If you can't make this peace walk there are two others taking place on Apr. 16 and Apr. 23. See all the details at the link. (Isthmus)
  2. The Madison Fire Department urged drivers to avoid a stretch of E. Washington Ave., Madison's near east side, yesterday after a collision. According to the department, multiple vehicles were involved in the collision where the inbound lanes of E. Washington intersect with Continental Lane. Multiple lanes were blocked and drivers were asked to find another route. (WMTV – NBC15)
  3. Police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. According to the Madison Police Department, a pedestrian was struck while using the crosswalk at 4:45 p.m. on Monroe Street at Edgewood Avenue Wednesday. The driver fled the scene before police could arrive. Thankfully, the pedestrian had minor injuries.
