- On Wednesday evening, the Madison Police Department confirmed a complaint has been filed against Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes with the city's civil rights department. In a statement, the department said it will "support the investigative process that will take place and always support a safe work environment for all employees." (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
- The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to have the Wisconsin Elections Commission reinstate voter registrations for nearly 32,000 people who were deactivated this summer. The commission deactivated the registrations for the voters after a two-year legal fight. (WeAreGreenBay.com)
- Two people were hospitalized following a shooting on Madison's southwest side on Wednesday afternoon, police said. The incident occurred just before 1:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of Verona Road. (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
