Here are the top three stories in Madison today:

  1. The Madison Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on the city's southwest side early Sunday morning. Officers responded to the 4300 block of Britta Parkway to discover shell casings. An unoccupied car and a home were reportedly struck by the gunshots but thankfully no one was injured. (WKOW)
  2. After more than forty years of operation, Madison's Sugar Shack Records is closing down. The record store's owner is holding two special celebrations to celebrate the store's success and legacy. Gary Feest is closing the business after the building was sold. (WKOW)
