- Officials with the Verona Area School District say they have identified the suspect responsible for threatening the school on social media Wednesday morning. The district's public information officer, Marcie Pfeifer-Soderbloom, did not identify the suspect but shared in a statement Wednesday that they would face disciplinary action from the school as well as potential legal action. The school also reminded students and parents about the district's reporting system, which enables anyone to quickly and anonymously submit tips to school officials. (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
- A Madison businessman is facing allegations that he trafficked food stamps out of his convenience store over a two-year period. According to a criminal complaint against Mavi Kuldip Singh, the suspect and an employee at the gas station realized a profit of nearly $18,970 by buying cards from FoodShare recipients for 50 cents on the dollar. Kuldip Singh is scheduled to appear in Dane County Court next month on charges of felony trafficking food stamps and misdemeanor public assistance fraud. (WKOW)
- Performances return to the Madison Circus Space next weekend after a two-year hiatus. The "Solar Powered Circus" includes family-friendly circus acts like aerial dance, hooping, and slacklining and aims to highlight the venue's $1 million campaign to renovate its facility and install solar panels. Tickets are available online and proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test is required for entry. (WMTV – NBC15)
