• Council votes to more than triple rent for ThedaCare clinic (waupacanow.com) — Manawa’s Common Council has voted to raise monthly rent for the city-owned ThedaCare Physicians-Manawa clinic from $700 to $2,500 starting August 1, 2027, citing long-frozen rates and rising maintenance costs. City officials say the increase better reflects market conditions and will help fund upkeep of the aging 2nd Street building, while still keeping primary care services in town.
