2 Menomonee Falls Student Earned National Merit Scholarships
Congratulations are in order! 2 Menomonee Falls students earned National Merit Scholarships this year - a high honor.

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI — The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced more than 3,200 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities Wednesday. Two students from Menomonee Falls were honored this year! See below for details.
These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
More than 1.6 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2017 National Merit Scholarship competition when they took the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Last fall, approximately 16,000 Semifinalists were named on a state-representational basis in numbers proportional to each state’s percentage of the national total of graduating high school seniors. Semifinalists were the highest-scoring program entrants in each stat, representing less than 1 percent of the nation’s seniors.

NATIONAL MERIT TULANE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
Tulane is a privately endowed, nonsectarian university offering a wide range of undergraduate, professional, and graduate courses in 11 divisions. Founded in 1834, it is located in the university section of New Orleans. Enrolled are 6,500 undergraduates, 2,300 graduate students, and 2,100 in professional schools. All divisions are coeducational except Newcomb College for Women and the College of Arts and Sciences for Men.
