Board Recommends Next Menomonee Falls Superintendent

From the School District of Menomonee Falls: The Board of Education for Falls Schools have recommended Corey Golla as the next superintendent for the district of 4,000 students.

Dr. Pat Greco formally announced her retirement last month and with it a plan for the board to select a new superintendent via a board-approved succession plan. The board establishes a full process for succession planning for every leadership position.

The Board of Education, charged with hiring the next superintendent for the School District of Menomonee Falls, chose to interview internal candidates for the position based on their desire to sustain strong leadership, commitment to the community, focus on innovation, skilled in improvement and strong communication before proceeding with an external search.

The board interviewed internally on March 5. On Monday, March 12 Golla is being advanced as the recommended candidate for the next superintendent at the regular board meeting.

Discussion and action on March 12 will review the process used for succession planning and advance the recommendation for action based on the internal interview held.

The Board was extremely impressed with Golla’s skill and experience. His track record is among the best in the nation in building a strong culture for student learning and a cohesive team focused on positive outcomes for students. He currently serves as the district’s director of curriculum & learning and served as the principal for Menomonee Falls High School prior to his current position.

He is a skilled instructional leader and an experienced administrator with more than 14 years in educational administration alone. Golla is a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt and is certified in Project Management. He is licensed as a superintendent and is recognized in the field of continuous improvement. Golla is completing his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
