The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group Donates Nearly $900 to Elmbrook Schools in September
Non-profit business group expands throughout Waukesha County to aid even more schools

Brookfield, Wis. – The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group celebrated the start of a new school year by donating nearly $900 to Elmbrook schools in September. Meanwhile, the program expanded to encompass every school district in Waukesha County, opening the door to providing more funding for more schools.
Swanson Elementary School received $689.34 from the C.A.R.I.N.G. Group, the highest single amount among $878 distributed between seven public and private schools in the Elmbrook district. Swanson has the highest participation rate of parents and other supporters in the program, and has received several thousand dollars in response.
The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group (#CARINGgroup) donates money to schools following purchases at its participating businesses. Consumers register online as program members, and specify which schools receive their donations. Membership is free. The program began in the Elmbrook School District; nearly $8,500 has been donated to Elmbrook schools since November 2014.

The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group didn’t sit on its heels during summer break. Following a long-planned blueprint, the organization expanded its reach to cover every school district in Waukesha County. As a result, every school in the county can receive funds from the C.A.R.I.N.G. Group when consumers register as members, and identify their favorite schools for support.
Consumers can register as C.A.R.I.N.G. Group members at www.thecaringgroup.org. No dues or fees are involved. When members purchase products and services from participating businesses, a portion of the sale is donated to the member’s chosen school(s).

“The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group uses a principle that consumers can generate money for their favorite schools by making purchases they could need on any given day,” said Tom Gaumond, President of the C.A.R.I.N.G. Group. “Participating businesses make donations after sales to C.A.R.I.N.G. Group members. It’s simple and easy.”
A list of participating businesses is posted at www.thecaringgroup.org. Don’t see your favorite business there? Talk to the owner or manager about joining the C.A.R.I.N.G. Group, which is free. The only criteria are that a business be based in its local school district, or have an owner who lives in the district (even if the business is elsewhere).
“If you have a favorite local business that isn’t part of the program, ask them to join!” Gaumond said. “Together we can build stronger schools and a stronger community.”
The C.A.R.I.N.G. Group web site has a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page that explains many program details. Facebook users can follow the program at www.facebook.com/TCGElmbrook.
