The Menomonee Falls Public Library is advancing plans for a major first-floor renovation project and is encouraging community support through its ongoing capital campaign. The project aims to modernize key areas of the library, expand services, and better meet the needs of a growing community. Construction is expected to begin in November 2026.
Eight spaces on the library's first floor are included in the renovation: the Vestibule, Concourse, Main Lobby, Connections Corner, Board Room, Hall, Print & Copy Center, and Reading Nook. The improvements are designed to create more welcoming, accessible, and functional spaces for residents and visitors.
As part of the campaign, the Maahs Family Foundation has become the first corporate sponsor of the project, committing $45,000 to renovate the library's new Print & Copy Center. The sponsorship represents an important milestone in the campaign and demonstrates how local businesses and community partners can help strengthen an important community resource.
The library offers far more than books. Residents have access to The Forge makerspace, which includes equipment such as 3D printers and embroidery machines, as well as free meeting rooms and community gathering spaces. Through the Explore Passes program, cardholders can also check out free admission passes to local museums, nature centers, and other attractions throughout the region. These services, along with the renovation project, are supported in part through community and business contributions.
Businesses and donors interested in larger gifts, including naming and recognition opportunities like The Maahs Family Foundation's, are encouraged to contact Library Director Jacqueline Rammer at 262-532-8931 or visit www.menomoneefallslibrary.org/capitalcampaign
