Community Memorial Offering Free Prostate Cancer Screenings

Community Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Care Center will host free prostate cancerΒ screenings this month.Β

Screenings will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday,Β Oct. 22, butΒ Space is limited and by appointment only.Β Register by calling (800) 272-3666. These free screenings are sponsored by Froedtert & TheΒ Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network, Community Memorial Foundation and St.Β Joseph’s Community Foundation.

A simple blood test called a prostate specific antigen test and a digital rectal exam areΒ currently the best screening methods available for prostate cancer. • All men ages 55-69
  • African-American men ages 40-69
  • Men ages 40-69 who have risk factors such as a family history (father or brother who has had prostate cancer)
Find out more about the risks and benefits of screening. Then talk with your doctorΒ about whether prostate screening is right for you. Visit www.froedtert.com/prostate for moreΒ information.
