Mill Street Folkart Gallery celebrates the successful conclusion of it's one year birthday! The folk art gallery opened it's doors exactly one year ago Memorial Day weekend in 2011 at it's Mill Street address after preparing only thirty days in advance.
Veteran artists Jeanne and Joanne Kreuser knew they could open the doors that quickly after years on the road doing juried folk art and fine art shows with their one of a kind three dimensional painted canvas sculptural figures.
Recognized by Early American Life Magazine as one of the top folk artists in the United States, the sisters brought their dream to life and opened a gallery in the historic Village Centre highlighting Wisconsin folk artists and the rich textile history of folk art. They like to tag their store as "where old techniques get a new twist".
