Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going? A PTA sponsored Public Forum on the SDMF 2011-12 Budget
The Menomonee Falls PTA/PTSA Council invites you to a public forum that will address the SDMF 2011/2012 budget. The Forum will be held April 19th, 2011 in the Menomonee Falls High School Library from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
Where are we now and where are we going? This is a common question these days in regards to education. The PTA/PTSA Council has invited SDMF Attorney Jim Korom and district personnel to address the implications of the Governor’s Repair Bill and State Biannual Budget and how they will impact our School District over the next 2 years.
Currently the district is looking at a $5.1 million deficit for 2011/2012. Do programs and/or staff need to be cut to address this deficit? Can the district increase revenue? What exactly are the “tools” that the Repair Bill has given districts to help them balance their budgets and what are the ups and downs associated with these “tools”? These questions and yours will be discussed that evening. Join us for a frank discussion about where the SDMF is now and where it is going.
