Falls Schools featured in Education Week

A cover story was published on schools in Menomonee Falls and how the district's work in continuous improvement is making a difference.

From Falls Schools: Education Week, a national publication focusing on exemplary school districts and issues facing education, published a cover story on schools in Menomonee Falls and how the district’s work in continuous improvement is making a difference.

“This is just one more way our district has been recognized nationally and internationally for the work our staff and students do each and every day,” said Superintendent Dr. Pat Greco. “We started our continuous improvement journey nearly a decade ago and in that time we’ve moved from a district in need of
improvement to a district that leads in cutting-edge continuous improvement.”

The cover story focuses on how Falls Schools work in continuous improvement has been the most extensive, from superintendent down to 4K classrooms and how that work has proven to make the district best-in-class despite managing many of the struggles facing most school districts: a highly competitive workforce, budget
reductions and fluctuating enrollment.

“The work done in this district at all levels impact student success,” said Corey Golla, Director of Curriculum & Learning. “Their deep commitment to being better every day shows in this piece from Education Week. We hope our district can be a beacon for other schools looking to make the same incredible improvement.”

The cover story by Education Week was funded in part by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is the first in a series on continuous improvements in school districts across the country.
