JC Penney Employee Accused of Purchasing Items With Customer Credit Cards
Suspect allegedly used cards that customers left behind while she was working as a cashier at the store.

An employee of a Menomonee Falls department store is facing charges after she took two customer credit cards and used them to purchase items for herself.
Kayla M. Edwards Saxton was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with two counts of identity theft for financial gain. If convicted, she faces up to 12 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

On Nov. 7, Saxton was working as a cashier at J.C. Penney when a customer left her credit card behind, so Saxton took it and used it to buy clothes for herself.
A month later another customer left her card and Saxton again took it and purchased $500 in gift cards, a necklace and a bracelet.

The charges were brought to store personnel’s attention shortly afterwards and Saxton admitted to the charges.
She will make her initial appearance in court May 14.
