Hamilton senior Shannon O’Dwyer will advance to the national drama competition after qualifying in the Thespian Individual (Thespys) category at Wisconsin Interscholastic Theatre Festival. O’Dwyer qualified based on her monologue performance from two pieces called ”Ghosts.”

National competition will be in June.

In addition, Hamilton seniors Autumn Walentoski, Grace Losey and Nicholas Mitchell will be commended for their performances in the Thespys. Walentoski and Losey performed a dualogue from “Gossamer” and Mitchell performed a musical theatre solo called “Try Me” from “She Loves Me.”

Maple Avenue Elementary, Silver Spring Intermediate and Hamilton High School music teacher Sarah Plamann is the Hamilton theatre director.
