Do you have your calendar ready? Good! Add this to your schedule: Kid’s Train Jamboree, Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, 10am-4pm.

Last year, Shady Lane Greenhouses had two popular one-day events: Kid’s Day and Train Jamboree. For 2014, it was decided to roll them both up into one fun-filled weekend. Get on board for these activities: Face painting; balloon entertainment by Half Twisted-Half Knot; Golden Retriever Rescue Dogs; a candy buffet; kid’s crafts; refreshments at the Whistle Stop Café; and, of course, 4,800 sq. ft. of fun, the KFH Legacy. Mother Nature will visit on Saturday and kids, for $10, can “Plant Some Love for Mom” (just in time for Mother’s Day).

The KFH Legacy is the Midwest’s largest permanent indoor g-scale model train. When visitors arrive, they should ask for their boarding pass!
