Marcy Elementary School students Recognized for Providing for SOS

Marcy students participate each year in a community service project designed to teach students about being respectful, helpful and kind.

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI — Marcy Elementary School fourth grade students in Julie Greenwald and Caryn Deeken’s classes collected personal care items and cleaning supplies to contribute to Sussex Outreach Services (SOS).

The classes decided to host a personal care and cleaning supply drive because they are among the least donated items at SOS. Each class donated close to 100 items for a combined total of 183 items.

Marcy students participate each year in a community service project designed to teach students about being respectful, helpful and kind to others. Volunteering at an early age creates positive life behaviors and helps students understand what it means to be a good citizen.
