What does a library cataloger do? Library catalogers connect library users to the content they’re looking for by organizing bibliographic information in an easily accessible way and accurately entering that data into the library catalog.
What does a library reference assistant do? Reference assistants help patrons of all ages with locating information and materials both online and in print, ensuring a positive experience for all library users.

What is the best part of this job? The best part is that you get to do both! The successful candidate will be tech-savvy, familiar with library services, and be able to provide reference assistance to a wide variety of people. This position also assists the IT Manager with social media and promotion of the Library and its services.
If you have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or significant relevant experience, you are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have experience working in customer service and with the public. Experience working in a library and doing library cataloging is a plus, but not required.
Applicants must be flexible and able to work 20 hours per week with a mix of daytime shifts, at least two evenings a week, and some Saturdays as scheduled.
Hourly wage begins at $17.
