NOTE: It may take the Public Works Department approximately 3 to 5 weeks to collect all of the brush placed along Village roadways. A schedule for pick-up is not available due to the unknown number of participants in this program and the unknown volume of brush that will be placed at each residence.

Please follow these rules to help us with this year’s brush pickup:

1. Brush materials acceptable for Village pickup are branches up to six inches in diameter, cut to a maximum length of four feet.

2. Brush must be placed on the terrace area (between the curb and sidewalk). In areas without curb, the brush should be placed on the grass area adjacent to the street pavement or adjacent to driveway entrances. All areas should have brush placed parallel to the road.

3. For safety reasons no brush may be placed on the street pavement.

Not accepted: Any type of yard waste and garden debris, to include but not limited to: grass clippings, leaves, stumps, roots or shrubs with intact root balls will not be picked up.

Brush in containers will not be picked up, as too often there is yard waste in the bottom of the container.

Be aware that the Orchard Ridge Composting Facility is indefinitely closed until further notice because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Once the Composting Facility reopens, we encourage you to use your Yard Waste Permit to take yard waste and garden debris to the Orchard Ridge Landfill. If residents bring in more yard waste than what the Yard Waste Permits allows, major credit cards and checks are the only acceptable forms of payment at the Composting Facility.

Deadline for residents to put out brush for pickup is Sunday, May 10th.

Your cooperation with this brush pickup is appreciated. Thank you very much!
