Menomonee Falls Student Amma Otchere Brings Home Gold
Since 1923, the Scholastic Awards have recognized some of America's most celebrated writers while they were teenagers.

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI -- Amma Otchere, a senior at Menomonee Falls High School, brought home the gold – lots of it - in the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, presented by Southeast Wisconsin Scholastic Writing Region, for many of her pieces.
American Voices nominations are considered "Best in Show" for the region. The region is asked to choose 5 pieces which are then judged in New York separately for an American Voices National Medal.
The judges chose two of Amma’s pieces as possibilities which were then judged by another panel of creative professionals and was selected as the most outstanding work submitted among her peers.
