You would have to purchase seasonings and sauces for your everyday cooking anyway. -- According to Consumer Reports, if you Don't menu plan, you throw away $20 for every $100 spent by buying things that go unused. The beauty of coming to a workshop is that you did your grocery shopping for exactly what you needed for your meals. In the long run people will SAVE money. $3.50-$5.00 per person for shrimp or steak dinner, I'll say that's a bargain.
