Robotics Program Receives State Grant

This is the second-time the team has won this grant & the third grant the team has received this year.

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI - From the School Districts of Menomonee Falls: Menomonee Falls High School’s Arsenal Engineering Team 6223 has been awarded a more than $2,500 grant by the Wisconsin Department of Instruction to go toward competition participation.

“This will help send us on our way as we compete this season,” said Bret Warner, coach and STEM teacher for the team. “Build season is currently underway for us and we’re looking forward to what the season will bring for our students.”

The Arsenal Engineering Team 6223 is led by Warner and Abhirami Coimbatore Gowrisankar, or Mrs. A as the students affectionately call her, as well as mentors David Voelz, Brian Delonay, Kimberly Haugstad, Howard Haugstad, Ivan Lopez, Matt Kampmeier and Steve Nordness.

The team’s rookie year was 2016 and last year they finished with a 5-5-0 season and were ranked 23rd in their region.

This is the third grant the team has been awarded this year. The team has also been awarded a sustaining grant from NASA totaling $5,000 and $4,750 from Rockwell Automation.

The robotics team is also graciously supported by the Menomonee Falls Optimist Club, Marsh Electronics and Automation Solutions, llc.
