Thomas Jefferson School Demolition to Begin in Late July
Menomonee Falls school district officials say demolition projects are set to begin later this month, continue through November.

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Voters in April approved spending $32.7 million to upgrade district-wide facilities of the District of Menomonee Falls.
Part of that involve the demolition and restoration of Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Hiawatha properties.
The abatement and demolition of Thomas Jefferson will begin at the end of July. Fencing has been put up along the border for safety as abatement will begin shortly, according to the district.

Crews will be working on site during the weekday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be following all local and state regulations for demolition to ensure safety and air quality. There will be no closing of any streets around the property.
Demolition is expected to be completed by mid November. At that point, the land will be open grass space and available for the community, area churches and CE&Rec to utilize.

The school district fully intends on keeping the baseball diamonds behind Thomas Jefferson intact and installing a basic parking area once demolition is completed.
