Vets, Pets, Popcorn and More

VETS, PETS, POPCORN AND MORE…

 

Sunday, June 23rd starts the annual week long celebration of Vets, Pets, & Popcorn at the Optimist Club Popcorn Wagon located in the parking lot of Total Health Nutrition Center (N82W15485 Appleton Ave between BMO Harris Bank and McDonalds).

On Sunday, June 23rd the 2nd Annual “Honor Flight Night” will be held from 6 pm until 9 pm.  Come learn more about the Stars and Strips Honor Flight Organization and the War Dogs Organization.  This is a great time to meet and thank our Veterans who have served our country.  All Korean and WWII Veterans receive FREE popcorn.

Monday, June 24 is Dress up Your Pet Night.  Wednesday, June 26th will have a Mobile Vet on hand to answer any of your questions regarding your pet’s health and well being.  Thursday, June 27th  Tyson, the Menomonee Falls Police Dog along with handler Officer Harding will be giving a demonstration at 7:30 pm and HAWS will be there along with their Mobile Pet Unit.  Friday, June 28th is “Look Life Your Pet Night.”  Then the week wraps up on Saturday, June 29th Exotic Pet Night.  Bring your pets and show them off all week long.  Come guess the number of biscuits in the jar for a chance to win a prize.  Buy a chance for 4 tickets to a Badger Game.

 

The fun doesn’t stop there.  On Friday, June 28th the Optimist Club along with Sal’s Pub is hosting its 2nd Annual Outseam Softball Tournament at Village Park and will run through Sunday, June 30th.  If you have a team that maybe interested in participating please contact Cory Kleeba at (262)751-4655 or cmkleeba@yahoo.com.   Food and beverages will be available to purchase with proceeds benefiting the programs provided by the Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls.

 

Then right around the corner is the Annual Fourth of July Parade which is held on Wednesday, July 3rd starting at 7 pm.  The parade will have over 100 units.  Optimist Club members will be selling popcorn and cotton candy before, during, and after the parade.  Fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 pm.  Watch for more information to follow shortly.
